Underwriters Laboratories Alarm System certification programs provide municipal Authorities Having Jurisdiction and Insurance Companies with a convenient, reliable way to identify code complying Fire Alarms and Security Systems. Honeywell takes the widely recognized UL mark and places it on an installed system in the form of a Certificate. A variety of AHJ's and Insurers around the United States have found these programs to be a great benefit when assessing risk and determining ongoing code compliance with Nationally Recognized Standards and Codes. How does it work?
Underwriters Laboratories lists alarm companies to determine compliance with UL standards and Nationally recognized codes. The combination of Honeywell's equipment and Guardian's award winning monitoring center allows then to be listed as companies that are in compliance in UL standards. They go through this evaluation process and are capable of issuing certificates within your Listing Category. These certificates are generally only issued when an AHJ or Insurance Comapny requests that they be issued.

Why a certificate?
